Property of a Champion Boxer

Fourteen million dollars – let the amount sink in. That’s what Floyd Mayweather spent on his 13 thousand square foot Las Vegas mansion located in the Southern Highlands of the city – one of the Las Vegas Valley’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. The property that the house is built on stretches even further – up to 22 000 square feet. The house is a result of a team of people that the boxing champion calls ‘team Mayweather,’ who designed and built the house from the ground up before customising it with many modern electronics and home comforts, all bought and paid for from his winnings in the ring.
Everything about the house sings the tune of money – from the 2000 square foot closet, full of all the biggest brands in the clothing industry like Gucci, Luis Vuitton and the likes to the two-level home theatre that boasts red leather seating and suede leather wall linings. Mayweather is clearly a man of discerning tastes and only someone with the money he has could own a house like he has created.
The house is ever-changing and evolving however, as Mayweather finds small changes he wants made to the house. Couple this with a huge amount of home automation, like being able to, from the car, adjust air conditioning (that distributes his own scent of aromatics around the home) or heating requirements, turn on and off lights, amongst many others.
Not every boxer can afford such luxuries. Floyd Mayweather is the world pound for pound welterweight boxing champion and he aims to prove it by adding Victor Ortiz at number forty two on his list of wins and claim the WBC Welterweight Championship which Ortiz has held since April this year. The fight will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be broadcast live on HBO pay per view. Watch Mayweather vs Ortiz live online!
